Oooh, that's a tough one! So many to list! How about... 'Before Sunrise', 'Schindler's List', 'Lost in Translation', 'Rocky 1', 'Fame', 'Grease', 'Scarface', 'Ghost', 'Forrest Gump', 'Full Metal Jacket'... There are many more, but they're just not coming to me at the moment! I'll have update and add to this later.
This is even more difficult than picking films! I'm an avid reader, and I generally enjoy the mystery or legal thriller genre. The book that had the most profound impact on me is probably "You Can't Hurt Me" by David Goggins. And I've never laughed as hard as I did when I read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". One book that sticks out in my mind, is "River God" by Wilbur Smith; I nearly cried when... oh, you haven't read it? Ok, I won't spoil it for you, then! ;)
I've been transitioning to a whole-food, plant based diet. Vegan, basically. However, I do like spicy and rich tastes, such as Middle Eastern, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, and Thai. And, of course, the food from my home country: Italy!
Depends a lot on the mood, but I am genuinely eclectic in tastes. Jazz, Reggae, Salsa, Hard Rock, and Old Skool HipHop / Rap are usually my main genres... though I do also relax with Classical, Celtic, and New Age.
Fashionable, but practical and not too elaborate.I can readily adapt to most occasions, going from gym clothes to 3-piece suit as needed. I really like accessories (glasses, watches, jewelry, etc.) and I'm crazy about men's fragrances - I have more perfumes at home than most shops! I usually keep my hair short, my face clean-shaven or with a goatee, and I do change my look frequently, so... you never know what you'll get!
Typically British, even though I'm Italian. My sense of humour is very dry and intellectual, sometimes laced with sarcasm. It's usually very much to the point and situational. Oh, and definitely irreverent!
Reading (a LOT!), observing people, self-development, meditation, and deep, engaging discussions on any range of topics; I just love the mental exercise and communication. I enjoy motorbike travels, boxing and football, writing, and composing music (I play piano and saxophone). I also have interest or enjoy: computers and tech, spirituality, learning foreign languages, walking in nature (beach, forest, mountain), veganism, neuro-linguistic programming... I'm naturally curious, so a lot of things interest me!
I've visited parts of North Africa, and I've traveled to almost every country in Western Europe, so I won't list them here (too long!), I've also lived in Italy, Germany, Ireland, the UK, Portugal, and United States. Would love to travels to a different area entirely now, and visit India, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, New Zealand... and lastly, South America!
Completely adaptable, totally flexible! Besides, I'm mixed culture myself, since my father is American, and my mother was Italian. I find it exciting, having a chance to learn something new, enrich my own understanding, and be a part of a diversity.
So, I'm going to assume we've been dating a while, as no one would do a whole weekend away as a first date! Ok... I would take you to Paris, where I'll book a room on the top floor of the hotel, with a view over the magnificent and romantic City of Lights. We will take a lazy riverboat cruise down the Seine River, then have dinner at "this little gem" of a restaurant that I know, away from tourists... with soft French accordion music, piano and violin, as the sun sets. Afterwards, I'd have an artist sketch you on a canvas, to capture your beauty and forever treasure this moment of our time together. Then we'll walk hand-in-hand back to the hotel, along the cobbled streets of the city, under the romantic glow of the streetlamps. On our bed, we will laugh and giggle, teasing each other between the spontaneity of engaging, mind-blowing conversation. Suddenly, I kiss your lips, and we make love with intense passion and desire deep into the night... before we collapse in each other's arms until the sunrise. When we wake up, we have breakfast with a delicious chocolate croissant (or three!!), to enjoy with a nice French coffee, as we sit at the table of this street-side pâtisserie. I'll take pictures of you, then lean in close and ask you, "Now... what would YOU like to do today, my dear?" :-)
I think my friends summed it up best when they said, "Josh is what you would get if you mixed together a loud racing car, an excitable and playful puppy, an encyclopedia full of surprising knowledge, and the mystery prize hiding behind door number three!' As far as adjectives are concerned, let's say... aware, observant, calm, understanding, curious, passionate, sensual, open, trustworthy, charismatic, extroverted, confident, a great listener and good communicator, compassionate, with a strong moral sense of right and wrong.
Intelligence and strong, confident personalities really attract me. I am not intimidated by a woman who is successful. I appreciate a good communicator, and someone who is not judgmental. Also a woman who is in tune with her feelings, who knows how to show her emotions, a deeply romantic and sensual lover. And don't ever take yourself or anything too seriously - just laugh! Don't stress over small things, or the big things, no matter how bad - just smile and deal with it!. Be a great conversationalist, an intellectual who is open to exploring new ideas, and never be judgmental. Don't be set in stone about 'roles'; it's the 21st century, madame! Be eager to 'grow' your mind and knowledge, don't let 'new' scare you. Don't worry about petty things like 'wanting your own time' or 'needing a quiet moment', because I need those too sometimes! Don't try to 'read between the lines' with me - I'm as transparent and direct as you'll ever get it, all at face value for what it truly is. Don't shy away from being tender, romantic and caring... and kisses, oh yes, lots of kisses! And definitely don't believe the "hype" about sexless relationships, because no one ever consulted ME on that matter! :-)
